Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel stands as the most popular among chief ministers contesting in the upcoming assembly elections. According to the IANS-Polstrat Opinion Poll 2023, Baghel is expected to secure a commanding 62 seats in the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections scheduled for later this year.
The survey, conducted between September 1 and September 13 with a sample size of 3,672 respondents, paints a favourable picture for Baghel. Currently, the Congress holds 68 seats in the 90-member Chhattisgarh Assembly, while the BJP is projected to secure 27 seats in the upcoming polls.
Baghel enjoys robust approval ratings, with 60 percent of respondents expressing their support for him as the leading Chief Ministerial candidate. In comparison, Raman Singh of the BJP garnered 34 percent of respondent votes. Furthermore, 50 percent of respondents rated CM Baghel’s performance as good in the survey.
In terms of vote share projections, the Congress is expected to capture 44 percent of the vote, while the BJP is anticipated to secure 38 percent in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
